Moorings 474 Powercat Delivery: Cape Town, South Africa to Marsh Harbour, Bahamas

Every Moorings 474 PC is delivered on her own bottom from the Robertson and Caine factory in Cape Town, South Africa to various destinations worldwide; a true testament to this vessel's build quality, reliability, safety, and efficiency. Below is a video of a recent delivery from Cape Town to The Moorings base in Marsh Harbour, Bahamas.



Trip Details:

The first leg of the journey takes the crew approximately 1700 nautical miles northwest from Cape Town, South Africa to the small island of Saint Helena; one of the most isolated islands in the world and Napoleon Bonoparte's place of exile. Once past Saint Helena, the crew settle in for another 2000 nautical miles to the Brazilian Coastline. After a stop off in Fortaleza, Brazil, the crew crosses the equador with its eyes set on the Caribbean. 1800 nautical miles separates Fortaleza from Saint Martin, a tropical island in the northeastern Caribbean and the last stop before the home stretch to Marsh Harbour, Bahamas. The final leg totals roughly 1100 nautical miles and lands the crew at their final destination; the lovely Moorings base in Marsh Harbour.
